Hooves & Paws Brings the Community Together Despite the Weather Forecast

A rain-free day at Rancho Visbal brought animal lovers, local businesses, and rescue advocates together for a heartfelt Paws in Town celebration.

The days leading up to Hooves & Paws came with an unwelcome concern: a forecast of bad weather. Behind the scenes, anticipation mixed with uncertainty as we prepared to welcome our community to Rancho Visbal. But when the day arrived, we were blessed with the opportunity to enjoy the gathering we had worked so hard to create.

Despite the forecast, we did it—and we did it together.

First and foremost, we thank God for blessing us with a beautiful, rain-free day. We are also deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, contributed, and helped turn this event into a shared celebration of animals and the people who love them.

A Gathering with Heart

Hooves & Paws brought together families, pets, local vendors, artists, volunteers, and animal advocates. Guests had the opportunity to connect with participating businesses, enjoy music and food, and spend time with fellow animal lovers in the welcoming setting of Rancho Visbal.

For Paws in Town, these gatherings are an opportunity to build relationships. Each participating business, rescue organization, and family contributes to a community that supports animal welfare and celebrates the bond between people and their pets.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Jaime de la Torre of Equus Vitae for opening the doors of Rancho Visbal and helping provide a setting for those connections to grow.

The People Who Made It Possible

An event like Hooves & Paws depends on many helping hands. Patty Love and her dedicated team of volunteers brought care and commitment to the day, alongside the vendors and contributors who shared their time, talents, and enthusiasm.

We extend our gratitude to Freddy Hernandez; Vanessa Salazar of Excellent Florist and founder of Guardianes de los Animales; and Fabiola Angulo of Líderes Latinos for being part of this celebration.

We also thank models Leslie and Georgina, Ole Talent for their continued presence, and Roly from A Pie de Calle for the interviews. Singer Lavivi Parra and DJ Ino brought music and energy to the gathering, while our food and beverage providers helped keep everyone refreshed.

A special thank-you goes to Frank Escobar for the pumpkins from Flamingo Rd Nursery, which added a seasonal touch to the event. And my Team Wilson, Mariana and Rodrigo

Celebrating Compassion and Connection

Among the meaningful moments of the day was welcoming Lulu Inspira, who supported Mateo during his fight against cancer, alongside Mateo and his mother, Lis. Their presence reminded us of the importance of accompanying families through difficult times and celebrating opportunities to come together.

Animal rescue was also an important part of Hooves & Paws. Marielena and It Takes a Village Rescue Mission joined us with dogs available for adoption, giving guests an opportunity to meet animals waiting for a loving home.

We are grateful for their ongoing rescue work and for helping keep adoption and compassion at the heart of our community events.

Memories to Revisit

Thank you to Carolina and The Pawtrait Studio for capturing memories from the celebration, and to Michelle for being part of this special day.

To every family who attended, and every dog who brought a little extra joy: thank you. Your presence is what gives these events their warmth and character.
